LIFE OF A MAN

It's very difficult to be a man...It must be very weird that in the era of feminism and gender equality I am talking about life of a man..We often think that men are strong and more privileged than women.. I personally feel that it's not completely true..I find that little boys are taught not to cry..Its assumed that girls can cry but not boys..since from childhood he is restricted to cry and he is always supposed to hide his emotional feelings..He is always supposed to be strong...A very important human emotion is taken away from him by the norms of society....
When grows up he is supposed to focus on this carrier...and start earning...As per social norms a man who is not earning money is worthless even if it's for a short span the same is not however applied to woman.His credibility is judged by his earnings..A man cannot take care of his house and kids and leave the earning part to woman even if he wants to....
As time passes he becomes a father he cannot even take few days of break in his carrier and be with his new born child..he gets 3-4 days of paternity leave to be with his own child...Is it really fair?As a mother even a father waits for his child for 9months but he gets 3-4 days of completely off work when the child is born...
Finally as days passes his responsibilities increase to such as level that at times he can hardly be with his family..His family time is taken by long work hours..He starts working maybe from early 20s and ends at 58-60yrs..In between he can only take breaks of maximum 30 days per year if he is in job..may be little more if it's his own business.He can never say I am tired ...he is supposed to work because he is a man and is supposed to feed his family and fulfill their needs...
He looses his own self...his dreams..his hobbies and his passion..He misses the 1st steps of his child...most of the school functions of his child...and lot more..The day he is retired or free his child is grown up and has his/her own life...
A man cannot easily quit job no matter even if he is going through hell at work..Its always his family that comes 1st to him..He cannot cry out loudly even if his heart is broken into piece...He reacts to his family at times and sometimes even misunderstood by his own family...

That's the point when he thinks maybe smoking or alcohol can help him to escape for sometime and starts getting addicted to it..After all this we never celebrate MEN's day because whatever he does it's his job...A man should also be thanked...If there is a women's day then there should be men's day as well as rights are duties are equal..Women are never less than men that they need a special day to be thanked.

Today I realise all these things about a man because I am a working professional and a homemakers..I am blessed to have a great father and a great husband...who gave me the support to follow my heart and chase my dreams..Man and woman both are important..no one is superior or inferior..both are equal by the law of nature..
